Parent of Retail Supplier Acquires Broker

Rebrands, Expanding Company, Names New COO

Just Energy recently acquired the commercial energy brokerage and consulting divisions of Save On Energy, LLC, and has rebranded the acquired division as Interactive Energy Group LLC (IEG)

The other assets of Save On Energy (e.g. online residential shopping platform, etc.) were not included in the acquisition.

Just Energy Group Inc. indirectly acquired assets of the Save On Energy commercial brokerage, including all customer relationships. The entire commercial brokerage team has transitioned over to IEG, Interactive Energy Group said in a broker license application.

IEG will operate as an independent broker from Just Energy, IEG said in one of its applications for a new broker license

Brent Moore, founder and CEO of Save On Energy who continued to serve as its President after its acquisition by Red Ventures, was named President of Interactive Energy Group LLC

Sean Holland, who had been serving as Director, Operations at Hudson Energy, a unit of Just Energy, was named COO of Interactive Energy Group LLC

Interactive Energy Group LLC, now an indirect subsidiary of Just Energy Group Inc., has applied for broker licenses in various states, including Ohio (electric and gas) and Illinois.

IEG currently has a portfolio of customers in the U.S. (primarily in Texas), with about ~800 customer contracts and ~30,000 RCEs in several states

IEG has primarily focused on power, but intends to expand into natural gas where applicable.

IEG typically targets small commercial and C&l customers

Interactive Energy Group will soon be expanding its geographic footprint domestically and internationally and will grow its suite of products and services
