National Grid Default Service Rates To Increase 34%

National Grid electricity default service rates in Massachusetts are due to rise 34% starting November 1, according to basic service rates filed with the Massachusetts DPU

For residential customers, National Grid's fixed basic service rate, including the current Basic Service Administrative Cost Adjustment Factors (BSACFs) and Smart Grid Customer Cost Adjustment Factor (SGCCFs), would increase to 12.673 cents per kWh for the November 2017 to April 2018 period, from the current 9.432 cents per kWh

Commercial rates will see a similar increase

National Grid's complete rates are below, shown with the current BSACFs/SGCCFs and without the application of the BSACFs/SGCCFs

The rates remain subject to DPU approval
