Crius Energy Ceases Use of One of Its Retail Energy Brands

Crius Energy is ceasing the use of its FTR Energy Services brand, and is transitioning customers to one of its other brands.

FTR Energy Services had been created for the purposes of marketing retail electric and natural gas supply to customers of Frontier Communications.

FTR Energy Services has informed customers that they will be transitioned to either Viridian Energy, Value Power & Gas, or Everyday Energy, with no change in their contract terms. FTR Energy Services is also not accepting new customers.

Crius Energy and Frontier Communications provided EnergyChoiceMatters.com with the following joint statement:

"Frontier Communications and Crius Energy LLC have decided to retire the FTR Energy Services brand, effective immediately. Current customers of FTR Energy Services in California, Illinois, Indiana, New York and Ohio will be seamlessly transitioned to another member of the Crius Energy family of brands. Crius is committed to providing all FTR Energy Services customers with uninterrupted supply as well as a consistent level of exceptional customer service. FTR Energy Services customers should continue to contact their local energy utility for repair or service delivery questions or billing issues as they have in the past. Customers with questions should call Customer Service at: 877-811-7023."

Crius Energy said that it continues to market its Cincinnati Bell Energy and Fairpoint Energy brands through strategic marketing agreements with Cincinnati Bell and Fairpoint Communications
