New York Natural Gas ESCO to Expand to Electricity Sales
South Bay Energy Corp. is expanding to retail electric sales, according to an application for FERC market-based rate authority.
In the FERC application, South Bay Energy Corp. said that it was seeking authorization to sell electricity at retail in various state jurisdictions and regional transmission organization territories.
South Bay Energy Corp. is a licensed natural gas ESCO in New York, and is listed by the PSC as active at Consolidated Edison and the KeySpan territories.
South Bay Energy is owned 50% by Stephen Mellis and 50% by Greg Blume. Mellis serves as President of South Bay Energy.
