Affiliate of Texas Retail Electric Provider to Expand to the Northeast
An affiliate of a Texas retail electric provider is preparing to launch operations in the Northeast.
Specifically, Frontier Utilities Northeast LLC has received approval from the New York PSC as an ESCO, "and is planning to being [sic] operations in that jurisdiction in the fourth quarter of this fiscal year."
Frontier Utilities Northeast LLC is affiliated with Frontier Utilities, a licensed and active retail electric provider in Texas. Both companies are wholly owned subsidiaries of Frontier Utilities Holding Co.
Frontier Utilities Northeast LLC has also applied for Pennsylvania retail electric and natural gas supplier licenses to serve all customer classes in all service areas.
In its Pennsylvania application, Frontier Utilities Northeast LLC said that it, "plans to expand its operations throughout the PJM service territory."
In the near term, Frontier Utilities Northeast LLC said that it plans to submit applications for supplier licenses in New Jersey, Maryland, and Ohio.
More broadly, Frontier Utilities Northeast LLC said that it also plans to expand to the District of Columbia, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
