Reliant, along with Comcast, has announced an initiative to, "bring an onsite retail presence," to the 99 Ranch Market in Houston.

99 Ranch Market, owned by Tawa Supermarket Inc., is an Asian-American supermarket chain with three Texas locations.

Reliant said that the onsite retail location provides a "one-stop" shop for video, high-speed Internet, phone, and electricity plans and other home services, "making it easy and convenient for shoppers to learn about the products and services the companies offer."

Reliant and Comcast had previously entered into an agreement which allows Reliant and Comcast to seamlessly route customers from one provider to the other, and offer discounts on services. The service is targeted at movers, to provide a single phone call allowing customers to connect electricity, phone, TV and Internet services.

Reliant cited the new retail presence in announcing that it had entered into an electricity supply agreement with Comcast to provide nearly 8 megawatts of peak power to more than 10,000 metered locations on its network throughout the Greater Houston area.
