Viridian Energy Reports Maryland Enrollments, Customer Count for July, August

As of August 31, 2011, Viridian Energy was serving 24,825 active electric customers in Maryland, according a compliance report filed with the PSC.

This compares to 26,320 active electric customers in Maryland as of July 31, 2011, and 26,918 customers as of June 30, 2011.

The net loss of 1,495 Maryland customers during the month of August was despite gross enrollments of 394. Gross enrollments in July were 536, and gross enrollments in June were 1,121.

At BGE, Viridian was serving 17,455 customers as of August 31, versus 17,856 as of July 31.

Gross enrollments at BGE during August were 228.

At Pepco, Viridian was serving 7,370 customers as of August 31, versus 8,464 as of July 31.

Gross enrollments at Pepco during August were 166.

Viridian said that it had 2,588 active independent associates in Maryland as of August 31.
