PECO Posts Results from Fall Procurement for Default Service Supplies

PECO has posted results from its fall 2011 solicitation for a portion of electric default service requirements.
For residential customers, for the June 2012 to May 2013 fixed price full requirements product, the weighted average winning bid price was $73.15/MWh. PECO procured about 14% of residential requirements for this period under the fall solicitation.
For residential customers, for the June 2012 to May 2014 fixed price full requirements product, the weighted average winning bid price was $80.29/MWh. PECO procured about 11% of residential requirements for this period under the fall solicitation.
Additionally, the fall procurement acquired several energy blocks to serve residential customers.
Some 40 MW of baseload (7x24) block energy was procured for the period January 2012 through December 2012, at a weighted average winning bid price of $50.58/MWh.
Some 20 MW of peak (5x16) block energy was procured for the period December 2011 through February 2012, at a weighted average winning bid price of $60.25/MWh.
Another 60 MW of peak (5x16) block energy was procured for the period June 2012 through August 2012, at a weighted average winning bid price of $68.09/MWh.
For small commercial customers, PECO procured in the fall solicitation about one-third of the power required for the June 2012 to May 2013 period under fixed price full requirements contracts, with a weighted average winning bid price of $77.71/MWh.
For medium commercial customers, PECO procured in the fall solicitation about 40% of the power required for the June 2012 to May 2013 period under fixed price full requirements contracts, with a weighted average winning bid price of $74.13/MWh.
