Viridian Energy has published prices for its new fixed rate electric products, which were first reported in Matters (9/22).
Initially, fixed rates are available in 13 of Viridian's 19 service areas.
With two exceptions (each in Maryland), all fixed rates are for 12 months.
Each fixed product includes an early termination fee of at least $50. In New Jersey, the early termination fee is the greater of $50, "or the cost of the estimated amount of electricity that you would have consumed during the remainder of the then-current term."
Markets where fixed rates are not yet available include Niagara Mohawk, NYSEG, Rochester Gas & Electric, Central Hudson Gas & Electric, Orange & Rockland, and Duke Energy Ohio.
Residential fixed pricing from Viridian is below. All rates are for 12 months unless otherwise noted. The percentage indicates the renewable content of each product.
