PUCT Authorizes AP Gas & Electric to Market as Zip Energy

The PUCT approved AP Gas & Electric (TX), LLC's request for an amendment to its Texas REP certificate to add the trade name Zip Energy and delete the trade name Affordable Power Plan. As only noted by Matters, Zip Energy will apparently market prepaid service (8/22).

North Shore Energy Consulting Receives Ohio Gas Broker License

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted North Shore Energy Consulting, LLC a natural gas broker/aggregator license to serve all customer classes in all service areas. The application was first reported by Matters (8/29).

Lake Point Energy Receives Ohio Broker License

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted Lake Point Energy, LLC an electric broker license to serve residential and commercial customers in all service areas. The application was first reported by Matters (8/22).

Consumer Energy Solutions Receives Expanded Md. Broker License

The Maryland PSC granted Consumer Energy Solutions, Inc.'s request to amend its electricity broker license to include service to residential customers.
