Viridian Provides Date for Natural Gas Expansion, Adds Fixed Electric Rates

Viridian Energy will begin offering natural gas service in three markets January 1, and is also expanding its electric offerings to include 12-month fixed rates.

Viridian Energy's expansion to the natural gas market was first reported by Matters (8/9).

The inaugural gas markets will be New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, with service to start January 1, 2012.

Additionally, Viridian will begin offering a 12-month fixed rate product in all of its electric markets starting October 1, 2011.

Viridian recently surpassed the 175,000 customer milestone, and operates in 19 markets in 7 states.

The new initiatives were announced at Viridian's second annual PowerUP! convention, attended by more than 1,000 of its independent sales associates.
