Rolando Pablos Appointed to PUCT, Anderson Reappointed
Texas Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Rolando Pablos and reappointed Ken Anderson Jr. to the Public Utility Commission of Texas. Pablos is an attorney in private practice and a senior advisor of SNR Denton. He is honorary consul to Spain, a member of the State Bar of Texas, chair of the San Antonio Free Trade Alliance, and a member and past board chair of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He is past chair of the Texas Racing Commission and City of San Antonio Small Business Advisory Committee, and a past board member of the Nueces River Authority and Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. Pablos was appointed for a term to expire Sept. 1, 2013. Anderson, who has served on the PUCT since 2008, was reappointed for a term to expire Sept. 1, 2017.
Doll to Resign as ERCOT Board Chair
Laura Doll, board chair for the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, announced yesterday that she plans to leave the board at the beginning of 2012 to pursue a career opportunity in California. Doll has served on the ERCOT board since June 2010 and as chair since January 2011. Doll anticipates leaving in early 2012 but will stay until her board position is filled.
