24-hour Bids Disabled for ERCOT Annual CRR Auctions
ERCOT said in a market notice yesterday that the 24-hour bid type will be disabled for annual Congestion Revenue Right (CRR) auctions, starting with the 2012 annual auction to be held in October 2011. The 24-hour bid type will continue to be available for the monthly auction.
TXU Energy Launches MyAccount Summary for Small Business Customers
TXU Energy has launched an online MyAccount Summary, providing details on consumption patterns and savings opportunities, designed for small business customers. TXU launched a residential MyAccount Summary earlier this year. With the tool, small business customers can compare two electricity invoices and see how various factors affect their total electricity expenses; see graphs that visually display electricity usage, peak demand (if applicable) and outdoor temperatures, and export such data into a spreadsheet for additional analysis. Small businesses with provisioned advanced meters have access to more granular data through TXU's tool.
Stream Energy Among Top 20 Private Companies in Dallas
Stream Energy announced yesterday that for the first time it finished among the top 20 private companies in Dallas, according to a recent report by the Dallas Business Journal. "While Stream Energy has emerged as a leader within the energy sector, today's announcement attests to our continuing expansion and business competitiveness," said Stream Energy Chairman Rob Snyder. Stream's year-ago ranking was 24th.
Vast Majority of Pennsylvania Electric, Gas Customers Satisfied with Utility
On average, 89% of Pennsylvania electric distribution company (EDC) consumers reported they were either somewhat or very satisfied with the overall quality of service they received from their EDCs in 2010, the same as in 2009, the Pennsylvania PUC reported yesterday.
