Sperian Energy has begun offering electricity supply in Pennsylvania after receiving its license last month (8/26).
Specifically, Sperian is active in the PPL market, with a fixed offer of 8.1 cents per kWh for residential service. The term is not listed on PA Power Switch, nor on Sperian's website. There is no early cancellation fee.
Although not indicated on the PA Power Switch offer, Sperian's Frequently Asked Questions section of its website states that Sperian, "offers a fixed plan at a guaranteed lower rate than your local utility."
Commercial service is also available.
Sperian is running several promotions, including crediting customers $50 for each customer referred to Sperian. Additionally, Sperian will hold a monthly drawing to award a $50 bill credit to a randomly selected customer who "Likes" Sperian's Facebook page.
Sperian is also authorized to serve customers at PECO, but has not yet publicly posted offers for the territory.
As only noted by Matters (7/11), Sperian has previously indicated that it may seek a Texas REP certificate in the near future. Sperian's website describes the company as serving, "deregulated markets throughout the US," indicating expansion plans in addition to Texas.
As previously reported, Sperian is a subsidiary of the SNH Family of Companies. SNH, Inc. is a holding company whose subsidiaries offer valuation, credit, title, and escrow services.
