The Illinois Commerce Commission has posted electric migration statistics as of July 31, 2011.
These switching statistics, linked below, only reflect those switched customers whose have completed a billing cycle on competitive supply.
The ICC's Office of Retail Market Development has already reported that, as of June 24, 2011, about 83,000 residential customers at Commonwealth Edison had switched to competitive supply when including all customers that have enrolled with a competitive supplier, regardless of having completed the first billing cycle (see 7/4).
Additionally, as of August 5, ORMD reported that residential electric migration at Ameren, aggregating all three rate zones, was about 8,000 (8/16). This 8,000 figure includes pending enrollments as well as all completed enrollments regardless of whether the account has completed a billing cycle on competitive supply.
Illinois Migration as of July 31, 2011:
Ameren Rate Zone I (AmerenCIPS)
Ameren Rate Zone II (AmerenCILCO)
Ameren Rate Zone III (AmerenIP)
Data for MidAmerican has also been updated on the ICC's website.
The July 31 stats show about 52,000 residential customers at ComEd had migrated and completed a billing cycle on competitive supply, versus 35,000 as of June 30.
Both the 0-100 kW and 100 kW-400 kW classes at ComEd continue to see only marginal migration growth month to month, with the July increases in terms of migrated accounts representing gains of less than 2 percentage points versus June.
Migration growth in the 0-100 kW class from June to July was more than 3,000 accounts, however, which was higher than the growth of about 2,000 accounts in each of the last two months (May and June), and the pace of 1,000 per month seen earlier this year.
At Ameren, about 2,000 residential customers had migrated and completed a billing cycle on competitive supply as of July 31 (631 Zone I, 339 Zone II, 984 Zone 3), versus about 200 as of June 30.
