Viridian Energy Receives Maine License
The Maine PUC granted Viridian Energy MD LLC a license to operate as a competitive electricity provider furnishing Standard Offer and supplier services to all customer classes in all service areas. The application was first reported by Matters (8/3).
AP Gas & Electric Seeks REP Certificate Amendment to Add Trade Name Zip Energy
AP Gas & Electric (TX), LLC sought an amendment to its Texas REP certificate to add the trade name Zip Energy and delete the trade name Affordable Power Plan. As only noted by Matters, Zip Energy will apparently market prepaid service (8/22).
Blue Pilot Energy Seeks Maryland Gas License
Blue Pilot Energy, LLC has applied for a Maryland natural gas supplier/marketer and aggregator license to serve all customer classes in all service areas. Blue Pilot Energy's application indicates that it will also seek an electric license in Maryland. As previously reported, Blue Pilot Energy is an affiliate of several telecomm firms including NOS Communications, Blue Ridge Telecom Systems, LLC, and Affinity Networks, Inc. (3/17).
Cianbro Energy Relinquishes Conn. License
The Connecticut PURA has accepted Cianbro Energy, LLC's request to surrender its electric supplier license. Cianbro Energy had been formed to self-serve the Cianbro construction companies.
