HOP Energy LLC has begun offering residential electricity at PECO through PA Power Switch.
As previously reported by Matters (7/15), HOP Energy had been offering residential service at PECO as well as Met-Ed through its website, but pricing was not publicly listed. HOP Energy has listed a residential offer at PPL on PA Power Switch since July.
HOP Energy's residential offers at PECO include a fixed rate of 9.054 cents per kWh through the December 2011 meter read. HOP Energy also offers PECO residential customers a 12-month fixed plan at 9.304 cents per kWh.
Both products include an early termination fee of $12.50 per month remaining on the contract.
HOP Energy is also offering residential customers a 12% cash back rebate off of the customer's highest single month electricity supply charge during the first 12 months of service. For example, if the customer's highest single month electric supply charge within the first 12 months was $150, the rebate would be $18.
Customers must mail a form to HOP Energy to collect the rebate, which will be paid in the form of a check.
As previously reported, HOP Energy also offers residential electricity supply in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Its website now lists electric supply offers as "coming soon" to New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Rhode Island, all states where HOP Energy has recently been licensed.
