Xoom Energy Receives Michigan Gas License
The Michigan PSC granted Xoom Energy Michigan, LLC an alternative gas supplier license. The application was first reported by Matters (6/10). As only reported by Matters (5/19), Xoom Energy is led by several principals formerly of ACN, Inc. Xoom Energy is also licensed as a Texas REP and Massachusetts gas supplier (7/26), and is also registered to provide core gas aggregation service at Pacific Gas & Electric, Southern California Gas, and San Diego Gas & Electric. Xoom Energy currently has a pending application for retail gas service in Ohio (8/19) and pending applications for retail electric service in Connecticut (6/10) and Massachusetts.
Sperian Energy Corp. Receives Pennsylvania Supplier License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted start-up Sperian Energy Corp. an electric generation supplier license to serve residential customers and commercial customers under 25 kW at PECO and PPL. The application was first reported by Matters (7/11), and Sperian has also indicated that it may seek a Texas REP certificate in the near future. As previously reported, Sperian is led by CEO Jevin Sackett, who is chief executive at SNH, Inc., a holding company whose subsidiaries offer valuation, credit, title, and escrow services.
Interstate Gas Supply Receives Expanded Pa. Electric License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Interstate Gas Supply an amended electric generation supplier license to include service to all customer classes at PPL and Duquesne Light. Previously, IGS Energy was authorized to serve all customer classes at PECO. The application for the amendment was first reported in Matters (7/12).
Viridian Energy Receives Expanded Pa. Gas License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Viridian Energy PA LLC an amended natural gas supplier license to include service to all customer classes at PECO (8/24). Previously, Viridian was authorized to serve customers at Peoples Natural Gas.
Rhoads Energy Corporation Receives Expanded Pa. Gas License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Rhoads Energy Corporation an expanded natural gas supplier license to serve all customer classes at UGI Penn Natural Gas, UGI Central Penn Gas, and PECO. Previously, Rhoads Energy had been authorized to serve all customer classes at UGI Utilities - Gas Division.
On-Demand Energy Receives Expanded Pa. License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted On-Demand Energy, Inc. an expanded electric broker/marketer license to serve residential and small commercial customers in all service areas. Previously, On-Demand Energy had been authorized to serve all other customer classes.
GDF Suez Energy Resources NA Permitted to Serve Small Pa. Customers in Mixed Metter Situations
The Pennsylvania PUC granted GDF Suez Energy Resources NA Inc. an amended electric supplier license to serve, in mixed meter situations only, residential customers and commercial customers under 25 kW. GDF Suez Energy Resources NA is also authorized to serve commercial customers above 25 kW, industrial customers, and governmental customers.
