Illinois Gas & Electric Begins Offering Residential Service at ComEd

Illinois Gas & Electric has begun offering residential electricity at Commonwealth Edison.

Illinois Gas & Electric is a trade name for Energy Services Providers Inc., which is owned by U.S. Gas & Electric.

Illinois Gas & Electric is offering a monthly variable rate currently priced at 7.1290 cents per kWh.

Additionally, upon completion of the customer's 12th billing cycle, the customer will be eligible to receive a 12% rebate on the single highest month's supply charge.

Illinois Gas & Electric calls the product "Variable 12 after 12."

Illinois Gas & Electric is the 14th active residential supplier in the ComEd market

Energy Services Providers' intent to serve the Illinois market was first reported in Matters (3/21 and 7/13/10)
