Viridian Energy Reports Maryland Customer Count as of June 30

As of June 30, 2011, Viridian Energy was serving 26,918 active electric customers in Maryland, according a compliance report filed with the PSC.

This compares to 27,114 active electric customers as of May 31, 2011, or a decrease of 196.

The net loss of 196 customers was despite gross enrollments of 1,121.

For comparison, from April 30, 2011 to May 31, 2011, Viridian recorded a net gain of 388 Maryland customers on gross enrollments of 1,191.

At BGE, Viridian was serving 18,268 customers as of June 30, 2011, versus 18,259 as of May 31, 2011.

Gross enrollments at BGE during June were 653.

At Pepco, Viridian was serving 8,650 customers as of June 30, 2011, versus 8,855 as of May 31, 2011.

Gross enrollments at Pepco during June were 468.

Viridian said that it had 3,266 active independent associates in Maryland as of June 30.
