West Penn Power saw a net of over 5,100 new residential shoppers from July 28 through August 3, up from growth of 4,700 in the immediately preceding week, and weekly growth in the 3,000-customer range for much of early July and June.
At PECO, the net growth in residential migration during the most recent week was 3,100, down slightly versus the week-ago growth of 3,700.
Penelec continued the strong residential migration growth seen in July, with the most recent week again seeing just under 3,000 new residential shoppers, which is even with the week-ago residential growth.
At PPL, residential migration growth for the most recent week was just under 1,500, about even versus the week-ago.
Also notable is that, as a percent of residential customers migrated, PECO has officially hit the 20% threshold as of the August 3 report (PECO was at 19% in the prior week). PECO is the fifth service area in Pennsylvania to reach 20% migration in terms of residential accounts, along with PPL, Duquesne Light, Penn Power, and Pike County.
