Energy Plus Holdings, LLC Officially Launches New Jersey Gas Service
Energy Plus Holdings, LLC officially launched natural gas service in New Jersey this morning. Matters first reported Energy Plus Natural Gas' monthly variable natural gas offers at PSE&G and New Jersey Natural Gas last month (see 7/20). Energy Plus Holdings, LLC said that the PSE&G and New Jersey Natural Gas territories account for 78% of the state. Energy Plus Holdings, LLC is also active in all four New Jersey electric service areas, and will seek to cross-sell gas to current electric customers.
Conn. PURA Sets Meeting on Virtual Net Metering
The Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority will hold a technical meeting on August 17 regarding administrative processes and program specifications for virtual net metering, as required under Section 121(e) of Public Act 11-80 (Docket 11-07-05). Among other things, retail suppliers have asked PURA to address the interaction of virtual net metering with retail supply and settlement issues (see 7/12).
