Direct Marketing Executives Launch Start-up Supplier in Connecticut

Start-up Trupro Energy LLC applied for a Connecticut electric supplier license to serve all customer classes.

The principals of Trupro Energy own a direct marketing firm, TruPro LLC, which will handle customer acquisition. TruPro LLC is currently active in the home services market, including home repair, home improvement, cleaning services, and moving and removal.

Trupro Energy will rely on direct mail, telesales, and internet enrollments. TruPro LLC uses in-house trained call center staff, and does not rely on third-party telemarketers, home-based telemarketers, independent sales representatives, multi-level marketing techniques, or overseas call centers.

Although owned by the same principals, Trupro Energy and TruPro LLC are not legal affiliates.

Rob Berko, CEO and founder of TruPro LLC, serves as Managing Member of Trupro Energy. Chris Rousseau and Robert Welch, senior executives at TruPro LLC, will also serve as Members of Trupro Energy.

Trupro Energy said that it will initially target residential customers.

Trupro Energy will use Energy Services Group for EDI and various other wholesale and backoffice functions.
