Dominion Retail Reports Higher Earnings

Dominion Retail reported higher EBIT of $25 million for the quarter ending June 30, 2011, up from $13 million a year ago, and at the high end of the forecast range of $10-$25 million.
Average total customer count for Dominion Retail was 2.165 million for the three months ended June 30, 2011, up from 2.121 million for the three months ended March 31, 2011 and 2.046 million a year ago.
Average Dominion Retail electric customers for the quarter were 778,000 as of June 30, 2011, versus 775,000 as of March 31, 2011, and 741,000 a year ago.
Dominion Retail's average natural gas customer count for the quarter was 565,000 as of June 30, 2011, versus 561,000 as of March 31, 2011, and 586,000 a year ago.
Average Dominion Retail products and services customer count for the quarter was 821,000 as of June 30, 2011, versus 784,000 as of March 31, 2011, and 719,000 a year ago
Dominion Retail electric volumes were 3.2 million MWh for the quarter ending June 30, 2011, versus 3.0 million MWh a year ago.
Dominion Retail gas volumes were 17,670 mmcf for the quarter ending June 30, 2011, versus 13,830 mmcf a year ago.
Operating revenue for Dominion Retail for the second quarter of 2011 was $402 million.
