Email This Story
NextEra Energy Services has expanded its residential electric marketing to Met-Ed and Penelec.
As only noted in Matters, NextEra Energy Services launched residential service at PPL and PECO earlier this year (see 2/14)
Residential rates are below, in cents per kWh.
NextEra Energy Services' charges at Met-Ed and Penelec are solely volumetric, and there is no flat, monthly base charge, which the supplier had been using for a time at PPL and PECO (but has eliminated for new offers in those areas as well). NextEra Energy Services' website states that an early termination fee applies to all of the products listed above, but the amount was not listed in the terms of service (nor was any such fee discussed; a separate Disclosure Statement not posted online prior to entering account-specific info which contains pricing info may contain also contain the termination fee amount, but the TOS section regarding termination did not explicitly reference or direct customers to the Disclosure Statement).
