Energy Plus Holdings Officially Launches Natural Gas Service, Expands Territories

Energy Plus Holdings, LLC officially launched its natural gas supply business in New York today, and has expanded the offerings to additional service areas.
As previously reported by Matters (see 1/26 and 7/6), Energy Plus Natural Gas has been serving New York customers on a limited basis for some time, enrolling over 1,000 customers.
With the official launch, Energy Plus Natural Gas will be available to residential and commercial customers at Consolidated Edison, Keyspan New York, Niagara Mohawk, Orange & Rockland, and National Fuel Gas Distribution.
Residential offers are a monthly variable rate up to 5 percent less than the default price.
Consistent with its electric marketing, Energy Plus Natural Gas offers a variety of rewards programs.
As only noted in Matters, Energy Plus Natural Gas has received or is seeking gas supplier licenses in a number of additional states, including but not limited to New Jersey, Ohio, and Maryland (see 7/6 and 3/21).
As noted in our July 6 story, Energy Plus Natural Gas will begin serving natural gas customers in New Jersey this month.
Energy Plus Holdings, LLC said that it now serves 160,000 electric customers.
