Alpha Gas and Electric Seeks Pennsylvania Electric License

Alpha Gas and Electric, LLC has applied for a Pennsylvania electric generation supplier license to serve all customer classes in all service areas. Alpha Gas and Electric is active in New York and will enter the New Jersey market this fall (see 6/17).

Start-up Sperian Energy Corp. Seeks Pennsylvania Electric License

Start-up Sperian Energy Corp. has applied for a Pennsylvania electric generation supplier license to serve residential customers and commercial customers under 25 kW at PECO and PPL. Sperian has also indicated that it may seek a Texas REP certificate in the near future. Sperian is led by CEO Jevin Sackett, who is chief executive at SNH, Inc., a holding company whose subsidiaries offer valuation, credit, title, and escrow services.

InSource Power Seeks Pa. Broker License

InSource Power Inc. applied for a Pennsylvania electric broker/marketer license to serve residential, commercial, and industrial customers in all of the major service areas except Penn Power.

Consumer Energy Solutions Receives Ohio Gas Broker License

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted Consumer Energy Solutions, Inc. an Ohio natural gas aggregator/broker license to serve all customer classes in all service areas. The application was first reported by Matters (6/7)
