Energy Plus Natural Gas Seeks Ohio License
Energy Plus Natural Gas LP applied for an Ohio natural gas supplier license to serve residential and small commercial customers in all service areas. Energy Plus Natural Gas LP currently operates at five New York utilities, and will soon begin operating at two New Jersey utilities (service starting July 2011 for one and shortly thereafter for the other). Energy Plus Natural Gas LP partners with Quantum Gas & Power Services, LTD to provide nominations and scheduling of retail gas delivery to the city gate for retail customers, and uses Energy Services Group for EDI transactions and billing and CIS services. Affiliate Energy Plus Holdings, LLC holds an Ohio electric license but does not actively serve Ohio customers.
Verde Energy Seeks Illinois Electric License
Verde Energy USA Illinois, LLC applied for an Illinois alternative retail electric supplier license. A copy of the application was not immediately available. Verde Energy typically serves the mass market.
Direct Energy Business Receives Maine License
The Maine PUC granted Direct Energy Business a competitive electricity provider license to serve non-residential customers throughout Maine. The application was first reported by Matters (6/8)

InSource Power Seeks Ohio Broker License
InSource Power Inc. applied for an Ohio electric broker license to serve commercial, mercantile, and industrial customers in all service areas.
