Interstate Gas Supply Begins Offering Residential Electricity at ComEd, Gas at BGE

Interstate Gas Supply has begun offering residential electric supply at Commonwealth Edison.
IGS Energy's entry into the Illinois electric market was first reported in Matters (2/24).
IGS Energy is offering residential customers at ComEd a fixed rate of 6.98 cents per kWh through the May 2012 billing cycle. The product does not include an early cancellation fee.
Interstate Gas Supply is also offering the following products at ComEd (in cents per kWh):
6 Months Fixed @ 7.73
18 Months Fixed @ 7.65
24 Months Fixed @ 7.68
These three products include an early termination fee of $10 per month remaining on the contract.
IGS Energy is also offering a variable rate plan to ComEd residential customers.
Interstate Gas Supply will typically use ComEd utility consolidated billing, but may elect to issue a supplier consolidated bill.
IGS Energy becomes the ninth active residential supplier at ComEd marketing individual customer offers (e.g. excluding municipal aggregation suppliers), with Ambit Energy officially launching today making 10 active suppliers. Viridian, which will launch August 1, will increase the number of active ComEd residential suppliers to 11 (6/16).
Additionally, Interstate Gas Supply has begun offering residential natural gas supply at Baltimore Gas & Electric, with a fixed rate of 79.9 cents per therm through the May 2012 billing cycle. There is no cancellation fee.
