Interstate Gas Supply Receives Pennsylvania Electric License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Interstate Gas Supply an electric generation supplier license to serve all customer classes at PECO. The application was first reported in Matters, and is part of IGS Energy's expansion into several additional electric markets since acquiring Accent Energy (see 2/24 and 3/4 for more).
Planet Energy Authorized to Serve Customers at UGI
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Planet Energy an expanded natural gas supplier license to include service to all sizes of residential and commercial customers at UGI Utilities. The application was first reported in Matters (3/31). Previously, Planet had held authority to serve customers at Columbia Gas and PECO.
Hawk Energy Corp. Receives Pennsylvania Supplier License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted start-up Hawk Energy Corp. an electric generation supplier license to serve all customer classes, including residential customers, at PECO, PPL, Duquesne Light, and West Penn Power. The application was first reported in Matters (2/22). Hawk Energy is led by David Mausolf and Gayle Mausolf, who co-founded Phoenix Wireless, a manufacturer and distributor of mobile phone accessories, in 1996.
TWP Energy LLC Receives Pa. Gas Supplier License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted TWP Energy LLC a natural gas supplier license to serve large commercial (over 6,000 Mcf annually) and industrial customers in the service territory of T.W. Phillips Gas & Oil Co. TWP Energy LLC will assume the contracts of existing supplier T. W. Phillips Energy Corp. and said that it would change its name such that it would not reference regulated affiliate T. W. Phillips Gas & Oil Co. or TWP Inc. once its sale to Steel River Infrastructure Fund North America is completed (5/17)
