PPL EnergyPlus, Starion Energy Begin Offering Residential Service at PECO, PPL

PPL EnergyPlus, LLC and Starion Energy PA Inc. have each begun offering service on PA Power Switch to residential customers at PECO and PPL.

PPL EnergyPlus had previously focused its marketing on commercial and industrial customers, with the exception of a non-load-following REC product offered to default service customers.

At PECO, PPL EnergyPlus is offering a fixed rate of 9.69 cents per kWh through May 31, 2012. At PPL, PPL EnergyPlus is offering a fixed rate of 8.6 cents per kWh through May 31, 2012. The products do not include an early termination fee.

PPL EnergyPlus is not offering residential service in any other service area at this time.

Separately, Starion Energy has also commenced offering residential service in Pennsylvania after receiving its license in February.

At PECO, Starion is offering a variable rate currently priced at 8.99 cents per kWh. At PPL, Starion is offering a variable rate currently priced at 8.79 cents per kWh
