Spark Energy Offers Affinity Program for Relay for Life

Spark Energy has announced an affinity program at Commonwealth Edison under which it will donate $25 to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life for each new customer that switches to Spark Energy through May 30, 2011 and enters an affinity code. Spark is partnering with WGN-TV to raise awareness for the Relay for Life, and also made a flat a $5,000 donation.

Constellation Energy Named Preferred Supplier of MACNY

Constellation Energy has been named a preferred energy supplier to the Manufacturers Association of Central New York (MACNY). MACNY represents over 330 companies in a nineteen-county region in Central and Upstate New York.

Constellation to Develop, Sell Solar Power to Holyoke Muni

Constellation Energy and Holyoke Gas & Electric Department will develop a 4.5 megawatt solar installation which will generate electricity for the municipally owned utility's 18,000 customers in Holyoke, Mass. Constellation Energy will build, own and maintain the system, and HG&E will purchase all of the electricity generated from the solar panels under a 20-year power purchase agreement at a fixed cost that Constellation said is less than projected market rates. Constellation Energy currently owns and operates approximately 60 megawatts of solar installations that have been completed or are under construction throughout the United States.
