Nearly 6,700 New Residential Customers Migrate at PECO in Past Week

A net of nearly 6,700 new residential customers migrated to a competitive electric supplier at PECO during the past week, according to the most recent statistics from the Pennsylvania PUC

Matters has also compiled a comparison of the migration levels from the 4/6/11 Report versus the 3/30/11 Report, as well as comparing the rate of migration in each of the past two weeks

At PECO, new residential migration during the most recent week (March 29 through April 5) was 6,696 accounts on a net basis, up from 5,676 from the immediately prior week. Total residential migration at PECO is now 212,174 accounts.
The weekly residential migration was also higher at PPL, where 2,160 new residential customers migrated to competitive supply from March 26 through April 2, versus a net gain of 1,739 migrating residential customers in the immediately prior week.
West Penn Power also saw a net gain of 2,749 migrated residential customers and 3,944 migrated commercial customers from March 30 through April 6. In the immediately prior week, there had been zero net migration in these two classes at West Penn Power.
