Reliant Confirms Intent to Actively Serve Pennsylvania Residential Market
Reliant Energy confirmed Friday that it is seeking to serve residential and small commercial customer accounts in Pennsylvania on an individual basis under its application for an electric license amendment, which was exclusively reported in Matters (3/25). Reliant confirmed that the amendment is not limited to only serving mixed meter accounts, and that Reliant expects to actively contest the Pennsylvania mass market as it does in ERCOT. Reliant told Matters that it is continuing to evaluate which service areas in Pennsylvania it will offer residential supply. Reliant also confirmed that it has not yet sought authority to serve residential customers in any other of its recently entered Northeast markets
