Reliant Energy Offering Carbon Offset Product

Reliant Energy has started offering customers a carbon offset product called Reliant EcoShare.

The product bundles offsets with ongoing support to EarthShare of Texas, an organization that provides funding to more than 30 different local and statewide environmental organizations. The product can be added to any Reliant plan.

Reliant is offering two pricing levels for EcoShare as follows:

Reliant EcoShare Silver

- A flat monthly price of $3.95

- A $1 donation per month to EarthShare of Texas

- 500 lbs of carbon offsets purchased

Reliant EcoShare Gold

- A flat monthly price of $5.95

- A $2 donation per month to EarthShare of Texas

- 1,000 lbs of carbon offsets purchased
