Energy Services Providers, Inc. d/b/a Illinois Gas & Electric applied for an Illinois alternative retail electric supplier license. A copy of the application was not immediately available. Energy Services Providers' intent to file an Illinois supplier application was first reported in Matters (7/13).
AlphaBuyer Seeks Maryland Broker Licenses
AlphaBuyer, LLC applied for Maryland electric and natural gas broker licenses. Copies of the applications were not immediately available. As only noted in Matters, AlphaBuyer's principals include several former senior directors and managers at GSI Commerce (f/k/a Global Sports Inc), a firm that provides e-commerce and interactive marketing services to over 500 clients including the NFL and other sports leagues, several retail chains such as Ace Hardware, Toys R Us, and Belk, and brands such as Calvin Klein and Dockers. AlphaBuyer offers an online brokering website for Pennsylvania electric and gas after receiving its Pennsylvania licenses earlier this year (1/14).
