5Linx Enterprises Receives Maryland Electric Broker License

The Maryland PSC has granted 5Linx Enterprises, Inc. an electric broker license to serve residential customers at the four investor-owned utilities and the Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative.

5Linx Enterprises, Inc. is a direct marketer expanding into energy brokering in several states (see 1/17). Aside from the previously reported target markets of New York, Texas, and Maryland, 5Linx now also lists Pennsylvania and Ohio as markets of focus.

5Linx Enterprises still has a pending Maryland gas broker license application and a pending District of Columbia electric broker application as well.

5Linx Enterprises has over 50,000 sales representatives who can sell a suite of products including Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone service, mobile phone service, high speed internet, satellite television, and home security and identify theft products.
