Stream Energy Confirms Maryland Entry
Stream Energy confirmed that it will begin accepting residential electric enrollments at Baltimore Gas & Electric and Pepco by March 21. The expansion to Maryland was first reported in Matters (1/27 and 3/3). Stream has not yet posted pricing for the Maryland offers, but its Maryland terms of service are written such that Stream may offer both a fixed and variable product, with the fixed product including a $150 early termination fee.
ERCOT Reports Additional Short-Pay due to Abacus Default
ERCOT reported Friday that Qualified Scheduling Entities and Congestion Revenue Right Account Holders that were owed monies from ERCOT on invoices due for payout on March 4, 2011 were short paid by an aggregate of $171,719.16 due to the default of Abacus Resources Energy LLC last month.
CenterPoint Schedules 2011 REP Workshop
CenterPoint Energy has scheduled its 2011 Competitive Retailers General Workshop for April 5. Topics will include, among other things, advanced metering deployment, tampering and diversion, and energy efficiency programs.
ALJ Would Find No Refund/Surcharge due Under Detroit Edison Choice Incentive Mechanism
A proposed order from a Michigan ALJ would find that, for the period January 14 through December 31, 2009, electric choice sales at Detroit Edison fell within a previously established deadband under the Choice Incentive Mechanism, and that no refund or surcharge under the Choice Incentive Mechanism is required to reconcile the at-issue period (U-16262).
