Email This
Story
February 10, 2011
PUCT Staff reported during today's open meeting that due to recent events in the ERCOT market, an unidentified REP has not met its ERCOT obligations and could potentially transfer customers to POLR.
However, Staff reported that all of the customers are expected to be acquired by new REPs outside of the POLR process at either the customer’s original contract rate, or a more beneficial rate from their new REP, prior to the need for a POLR transition.
The unidentified REP has just under 8,000 customers, mostly residential.
Staff reported that the REP has had prior issues in meeting deadlines for payments to TDUs.
