PSEG Power Selling Texas Gas-fired Assets
PSEG Power has agreed to the sale of its Texas generating assets, consisting of two 1,000 megawatt gas-fired combined cycle generating units which will be sold in two separate transactions.  The Odessa facility in West Texas will be sold, pursuant to an asset purchase agreement, to High Plains Diversified Energy Corporation (HPDEC), a municipal utility group based in West Texas.  MinnTex Power Holdings LLC (MinnTex), an entity managed by Wayzata Investment Partners LLC, has agreed to acquire 100% of the equity interests in the limited partnership that owns the Guadalupe facility in south Texas.  The transactions have a combined equity value of $687 million, or $343 per kW.  There is no debt attached to the assets.  The Texas assets generated 7.3 TWh in 2010.

Rapid Power Management Begins Brokering Ohio Load
Rapid Power Management said it has begun brokering electric service for Ohio non-residential clients.  Rapid Power Management's Ohio electric broker license was first reported by Matters last month (12/22).

TXU Energy Launches New Website
TXU Energy launched a new website which it said offers customers faster, smarter, and better tools and resources.  The new TXU website follows the template/layout of the placeholder website of affiliate Brighten Energy which went live late last year.  As only noted in Matters, Brighten Energy is Energy Future Holdings' new Pennsylvania electric supplier which intends to begin service this year (see 11/18).
