AEP Retail Energy Offering Residential Electric Service at Duke Energy Ohio

AEP Retail Energy has begun offering residential electric service in Ohio.  

Specifically, AEP Retail Energy is offering Rate RS customers at Duke Energy Ohio a fixed rate of 6.29¢/kWh for 12 months.

The product includes an early termination fee of $25.

Currently, Dominion Retail, FirstEnergy Solutions, Duke Energy Retail Sales, and Direct Energy are marketing to residential customers at Duke Energy Ohio.

AEP Retail Energy is not offering residential service in any other Ohio territory at this time, according to its website.

Additionally, AEP Retail Energy's website indicates that its commercial service is still limited to Ohio.  As only noted in Matters, AEP has stated it is seeking to expand AEP Retail Energy beyond Ohio to areas such as Texas (see 11/3).
