Reliant Energy Receives Delaware License
The Delaware PSC granted Reliant Energy Northeast, LLC an electric supplier license to serve large commercial, governmental, and industrial customers.

Constellation NewEnergy Pennsylvania License Expanded to Residential Service
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Constellation NewEnergy an expanded electric supplier license to include service to residential and small commercial (under 25 kW) customers in all service areas.  Constellation's application to serve mass market Pennsylvania customers was first reported by Matters.  Constellation has said that it wished to make residential offers in Pennsylvania as early as January of 2011 (12/15).  The expanded license follows Constellation NewEnergy's recent expansion of its Illinois electric license to include service to residential customers at Commonwealth Edison (see 10/27).

Viridian Energy Receives Pa. Gas License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Viridian Energy PA LLC a natural gas supplier license to serve all customer classes at Peoples Natural Gas (10/8).

Oasis Power Receives Pa. Electric License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Oasis Power, LLC (d/b/a Oasis Energy) an electric generation supplier license to serve all customer classes, including residential customers, in all service areas (10/22).

HOP Energy Receives Pa. Electric License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted HOP Energy, LLC, which operates several fuel oil distributors in eastern Pennsylvania, an electric generation supplier license to serve all customer classes, including residential customers, at PECO, PPL Electric, and Met-Ed.  HOP Energy's application was first reported in Matters (12/14).  HOP Energy operates fuel oil marketers, mainly focused on the residential market, under the brands Altemos/Atlantic Energy, Brinkers Energy, DDM Energy and Major Oil in Pennsylvania.
 

Hudson Energy Services Receives Pa. Electric License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Hudson Energy Services an electric generation supplier license to serve all customer classes, including residential customers, in all service areas.  As an affiliate of Just Energy, the PUC imposed on Hudson the same additional consumer protections, for a period of 18 months, imposed on Just Energy, except that Hudson will not need to abide by the extra consumer protection measures when marketing to, or contracting with, residential or small commercial and industrial customers associated with commercial or industrial accounts.  The conditions include, but are not limited to, a $50 cap on termination fees for door-to-door contracts, and a commitment to use only employees, and not independent contractors, for door-to-door sales (see 12/18/09).

Great American Power Receives Pa. Electric License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted start-up Great American Power, LLC an electric generation supplier license to serve residential customers and commercial customers under 25 kW at PPL, Met-Ed, Penelec, and PECO (10/22).  Under pending corporate changes, Great American Power will eventually operate as a subsidiary of Telecommunications on Demand.

South Jersey Energy Company Receives Expanded Pa. Gas License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted South Jersey Energy Company an expanded natural gas supplier license to include the service area of Philadelphia Gas Works.

Atmos Energy Marketing Receives Expanded Pa. Gas License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Atmos Energy Marketing LLC an expanded natural gas supplier license to include the service areas of National Fuel Gas Distribution, UGI Utilities, and Equitable Gas.

AlphaBuyer Receives Pa. Broker License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted start-up AlphaBuyer, LLC an electric broker license to serve residential and commercial customers under 25 kW in all service areas (10/21).  As only noted in Matters, AlphaBuyer's principals include several former senior directors and managers at GSI Commerce (f/k/a Global Sports Inc), a firm that provides e-commerce and interactive marketing services to over 500 clients including the NFL and other sports leagues, several retail chains such as Ace Hardware, Toys R Us, and Belk, and brands such as Calvin Klein and Dockers

NetGain Energy Advisors Receives Pa. Gas Broker License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted NetGain Energy Advisors (NRGing LLC) a natural gas broker license to serve large commercial (6,000 Mcf or more annually), industrial and governmental customers in all service areas (10/7).  NetGain Energy Advisors previously received a Pennsylvania electric broker license.

TES Energy Services Receives Pa. Broker License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted TES Energy Services LLC an electric broker license to serve commercial customers over 25 kW, industrial customers, and governmental customers in all service areas (11/10).

Interstate Gas Marketing Receives Pa. Broker License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Interstate Gas Marketing, based in Indiana, Pennsylvania, an electric broker license to serve all customer classes in all service areas.  Interstate Gas Marketing is currently licensed as a natural gas aggregator by the PUC and is also engaged in gas drilling and production (11/11).

The Galt Company Receives Pa. Broker License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted The Galt Company an electric broker license to serve all sizes of non-residential customers in all service areas (11/22)

Aspen Energy Corporation Receives Pa. Broker License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Aspen Energy Corporation an electric broker license to serve commercial customers over 25 kW, industrial customers, and governmental customers in all service areas (10/21).

Total Energy Resources Receives Pa. Broker License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Total Energy Resources, LLC an electric broker license to serve commercial customers over 25 kW and industrial customers in all service areas (10/6).

LD Energy Receives Pa. Broker License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted LD Energy (organized as Long Distance Consultants LLC) an electric broker license to serve commercial customers over 25 kW and industrial customers in all service areas (10/26).

Rosenthal Energy Advisors Receives Pa. Broker License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Rosenthal Energy Advisors, Inc. an electric broker license to serve all sizes of non-residential customers in all service areas (11/24).

Capital Energy Receives Pa. Broker License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Capital Energy Inc. an electric broker license to serve all sizes of non-residential customers at PECO (11/10).

Power Brokers Receives Pa. Broker License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Power Brokers LLC d/b/a PB2 Texas, LLC an electric broker license to serve commercial customers over 25 kW and industrial customers in all service areas.

Bradley R. Lewis Receives Pa. Broker License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted sole proprietor Bradley R. Lewis an electric broker license to serve all sizes of non-residential customers in all service areas (7/9).
