Amigo Energy Would Pay $13,000 to Resolve Findings from PUCT Staff Compliance Audit

Fulcrum Retail Energy LLC d/b/a Amigo Energy would pay an administrative penalty of $13,000 under a settlement with PUCT Staff to resolve allegations from Staff that Amigo was not in compliance with 6 provisions of the Substantive Rules (39047).

Staff's allegations resulted from a compliance audit.

Among other things, Staff alleged that:

• Amigo failed to provide, for internet enrollments, the notice of the applicant's right to rescind, contrary to Subst. R. 25.474(d)(11)(A)
• Amigo failed to issue certain refunds relating to security deposits in the manner provided under 25.478(j)(1)

Amigo corrected all of the deficiencies alleged by Staff prior to entering the settlement.
