Branded Retail Energy Seeks Pa. Broker License
Branded Retail Energy Co. LLC applied
for a Pennsylvania electric broker/marketer license to serve all customer classes,
including residential customers, in all service areas. As previously reported, Branded
Retail Energy Co. specializes in creating branded broker/affinity channels, such
as Texas Longhorns Energy (7/27), and then contracting with a specific supplier to
serve these branded channels. Branded Retail Energy has previously said that Champion
Energy Services, which is supplying Branded Retail Energy's channels in Texas, will
serve as Branded's electric supplier of record in future endeavors, both in Texas
and other markets Champion may currently offer service, with Branded Retail Energy
specifically citing Pennsylvania as well as the Illinois and Ohio electric markets.
Nordic Energy Services Only Seeking Single Billing Authority in Ameren
In its application
for an expanded Illinois alternative retail electric supplier license (first reported
12/28), Nordic Energy Services is seeking authority to serve all sizes of retail
customers at Commonwealth Edison and Ameren, with the Ameren territory representing
a new territory for the supplier. Nordic's application is silent with respect to
whether it intends to limit its expanded marketing to commercial customers under
15,000 kWh, or whether it will also serve residential electric customers. A media
relations contact for Nordic was out of the office for the holidays. Nordic's application
for single billing service authority is limited to the Ameren territory.
Energy Advantage, Inc. Seeks Pa. Broker License
Energy Advantage, Inc. applied for
a Pennsylvania electric broker/marketer license to serve all customer classes, including
residential customers, in all service areas.
Competitive Energy Services Seeks Pa. Broker License
Competitive Energy Services,
LLC applied for a Pennsylvania electric broker/marketer license in to serve commercial
customers over 25 kW, industrial customers, and governmental customers.
