United Energy Trading to Enter Ohio Retail Gas Market

United Energy Trading LLC, d/b/a Kratos Gas & Power, applied for an Ohio natural gas supplier license to serve all customer classes, including residential customers, in all service areas.  

United Energy Trading, which describes itself as the second largest privately held gas marketer in the U.S., is currently active in the California retail gas choice market under the name Blue Spruce Energy Services.  United Energy Trading has over 3,500 non-residential customers at Pacific Gas & Electric comprising about 3,000 dth/day.

United Energy Trading also serves gas customers in Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas.  In the Pacific Northwest, United Energy Trading serves 60 large industrial customers, supplying around 20,000 dth/day.  United Energy Trading manages 30 industrial customers in Missouri/Kansas, 75 commercial and industrial customers in Oklahoma, and 15 customers in Texas.

United Energy Trading currently moves over 1.5 bcf/day on over 60 different pipelines.

United Energy Trading is an affiliate of wholesale power marketer Rainbow Energy Marketing Corporation.  Parent United Energy Corporation is engaged in the acquisition, drilling, production, and the reworking of oil and natural gas properties primarily located in the Williston Basin region of North Dakota and Montana, with ownership in over 600 wells.
