Constellation Extends N.J. Residential Electric Offers

Constellation Energy is extending its New Jersey residential electric offers at Public Service Electric & Gas and Jersey Central Power & Light, and has already signed more than 16,000 customers since launching the programs in late August (8/27).
In October, Constellation had reported its New Jersey residential customer count as more than 10,000 (10/19)
Constellation's pricing and term lengths remain unchanged from its initial offer: it is still offering 18 and 30 month contracts in which the rate is fixed for the first 12 or 24 months, respectively, with a variable rate for the final six months.
However, the new offers no longer include any early termination fees. Previously, the offers included a $150 early termination fee if cancelled during the fixed price portion of the contract term.
The no early termination fee provision has replaced the earlier enrollment incentive of Target gift cards.

Constellation is again using direct mail to market the offers.
Constellation offers New Jersey residential customers a friends/family referral program under which the referred customer and referring customer can each earn a $25 Visa rewards card for an enrollment. Constellation said customers can earn up to $575 annually in rewards when combined with all of its promotions.
