Infinite Energy Begins Offering Service at Oncor, Will Expand to Additional ERCOT

After two years of preparing its market entry, Infinite Energy, Inc. has begun offering electric service in ERCOT, initially to residential and commercial customers in the Oncor service area.

Infinite is taking a measured approach to expansion into ERCOT, its first electric market, and anticipates expanding to CenterPoint in May or June of next year, said Bradley Gamble, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Infinite Energy.
Service at the remaining ERCOT service areas could be offered late next year.
Initially, Infinite is not listing its Oncor residential offer on Power to Choose as part of its desire to achieve measured growth at first while it becomes acclimated to the ERCOT market, Gamble added.

Infinite said that it has about 10,000 gas customers in New York and New Jersey, and 50,000 gas customers in Georgia and Florida.
As in its other markets (aside from where it relies on utility billing due to POR), Infinite has created an internal, proprietary billing and backoffice system to handle its ERCOT transactions.
