Shelk: Lack of Penalty in FERC Audit of Entergy Disturbing in Light of Other Cases
EPSA
President and CEO John Shelk said it in a statement yesterday that it was disturbing
that a FERC audit, which Shelk claimed found numerous "serious violations" of Entergy's
OATT, did not result in any penalties from the federal Commission in light of the
fines levied on other companies for smaller infractions. "Disturbingly, in spite
of numerous serious violations of Entergy's own OATT found in the recent audit, FERC
did not assess a single fine or otherwise impose a penalty when it has not hesitated
to do so for lesser violations by others," Shelk said.
