Reliable Power Seeks Pa. Electric License
Reliable Power, LLC applied for a Pennsylvania electric generation supplier license to serve all customer classes, including residential customers, in all service areas.  Reliable said that it would use door-to-door sales with third party verification in its marketing efforts, relying on licensed brokers, as well as third party marketing agents (which do not require a license).  Reliable Power has been serving load in Connecticut since September.  Reliable Power said that it uses EC Infosystems, Inc. for EDI services, and has contracted with American PowerNet as a consultant for load forecasting, scheduling, and procurement.


Start-up Great American Power Seeks Pa. Electric License
Start-up Great American Power, LLC applied for a Pennsylvania electric generation supplier license to serve residential customers and commercial customers under 25 kW at PPL, Met-Ed, Penelec, and PECO.  Great American Power President Lyman Gray Wilkes was previously President of Affordable Power, and formerly had positions at Entergy Solutions Ltd. and Enron Energy Services.


University of Pennsylvania Receives Pa. Electric License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted the University of Pennsylvania an electric generation supplier license to self-serve its load which is in the PECO territory.  UPenn's license was first reported by Matters (9/2/10).


Pa. PUC Grants Volunteer Energy Expanded Gas License
The Pennsylvania PUC approved Volunteer Energy Services' application to amend its gas supplier license to allow it to serve all customer classes at National Fuel Gas Distribution Corp.  Volunteer's application was first reported by Matters (7/12/10).  Volunteer had been previously licensed to serve customers at Columbia Gas and Peoples Natural Gas.


APN Starfirst Receives Pa. Electric License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted APN Starfirst LP an electric generation supplier license to serve industrial customers in the service territories of Duquesne Light, Met Ed, and West Penn Power (Allegheny Power).  APN Starfirst is an affiliate of American PowerNet Management.


Emex, LLC Receives Pa. Broker License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Emex, LLC (Energy Market Exchange) an electric broker/marketer license to serve commercial customers over 25 kW in all service areas.  Emex's application was first reported in Matters (6/9/10).


Mondre Energy Receives Pa. Broker License
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Mondre Energy, Inc. an electric broker/marketer license to serve all customer classes in all service areas.  Mondre's application was first reported in Matters (8/24/10).


Pa. PUC Approves New License for E Source Companies
The Pennsylvania PUC granted E Source Companies, LLC an electric broker/marketer license to serve commercial customers over 25 kW, industrial customers, and governmental customers in all service areas.  With the LLC entity receiving a new license, the PUC also granted E Source's request to withdraw its legacy license originally granted to Energy Window, Inc.  E Source's application was first reported by Matters (8/16/10).
