BlueStar Energy Releases PECO Residential Pricing

BlueStar Energy Solutions has released pricing for PECO residential electric customers.

BlueStar is offering a 12-month product for a fixed rate of 9.29¢/kWh. BlueStar is also offering a 12-month, 100% wind product for a fixed rate 9.76¢/kWh.

Both products, which are available for Rate Class R customers, include an early termination fee of $10 per month remaining on the contract.

In other PECO residential news, Energy Plus Holdings LLC further confirmed that it intends to offer a monthly variable residential rate 10% off PECO's generation rate for several targeted (affinity, rewards program, etc.) groups. Energy Plus Holdings said that it would also offer a 100% renewable product for about a 1¢/kWh premium above its standard rate. Energy Plus Holdings said that it has not yet started general marketing in the PECO residential market.

Stream Energy, which Matters noted Monday will enter the PECO residential market, said that it expects to release pricing by November 1. Stream will also enter the PPL residential market.

Elsewhere, Palmco Power PA is offering a monthly variable rate of 7.49¢/kWh to residential customers at Met-Ed, a variable rate of 7.019¢/kWh at West Penn Power (Allegheny), and a variable rate of 7.198¢/kWh at Duquesne Light (for Residential RS customers).
